Just a normal day …

It is windy right now. Very strong wind. Who knows it might be bright and sunny in the afternoon.

I had finished downloading NFS : Carbon and hopefully I would be able to vroom vroom on this Saturday.

Nothing much special happening; we jz keep on our pursuit on Hong Kong drama: Survivor’s Law. Our housemate, Aga is moving out this weekend, maybe Friday. God knows what kind of person will take up her room. I always have some kind of thinking; as the old saying, ‘Meeting is easy, staying together is difficult.’ Which is why I don’t usually look friendly on the first few meetings.

Incredibly, Mee cooked our dinner in the morning yesterday. Well, in the morning! She does that occasionally bcoz sometimes when we reached home, other housemates were using the kitchen and we had to wait for at least 1 hour before we can cook.

Finally, my colleagues were laughing about an entertainment show which asked a stupid question, ‘What color is brown?’

A hot day …

It is hot at the moment. But outside is still freezing. My colleagues actually switch on the fan and have the windows opened. And the air-con is switched ON too.

There’s some progress in my job recently as I am given the access to the live system. Since I started, I had been using only Train and Test system to do my own training and tasks assigned to me and Greg will transfer them from the Train system to the Live system. And now, I am given full access and in charge of users account. Well, we cannot really rush things, can we?

Start of today, I will be using the Skypephone. So far, it has not brought any problems except when Mee called me just now, her voice can clearly be heard and loud; I had a hard time turning down the volume except to ask Mee to talk softly. Well, it’s my fault anyway, not the phone fault.

My download of Need for Speed : Carbon has reached 95%. Hopefully, I would be able to finish Need for Speed : Most Wanted by end of this week. I had finished all the races and I am trying to get the most bounty, yet I get arrested.

PoV: Salling Clicker v3.5 and Nokia E61 …

“Salling Clicker is our award-winning remote control software. It lets you control popular applications from a mobile phone or handheld computer through a user interface similar to a portable media player” – quoted from Salling Clicker website

I would say that it’s a pretty powerful piece of mobile software that enables user to control PC applications.

Functions
So far, I have only tried two main functions of it; Control the System and Windows Media Player. I am now able to launch Windows Media Player from Nokia E61 through WiFi. I can edit my playlists, open my playlists as well as creating new playlists. Controlling WMP is rather easy just by using the joystick; left and right for previous and next song, up and down for volume control, hold left and right will fast-reverse and fast-forward the current song. Pressing the joystick will then play or pause the current song.

There are 3 options to control the system; Mouse Pointing, System Volume and Shutdown. There is another useless option, Show Device Info. Joystick is used to control the Mouse Pointing and it’s quite smooth though it’s sort of slow-motion compared to using the mouse device.

The software itself support scripting where user can add their own script to control more functions and more programs. However, I find that the original scripts are good enough and stable.

Connectivity
It claimed that Salling Clicker supports both bluetooth and WiFi. However, I have difficulties connecting SE W850i to Salling Clicker through Bluetooth connection. It kept prompting that Bluetooth device not found. Connecting WiFi using Nokia E61 is effortless and quick.

Another inconvenient function is that when I select a playlist to play, there is no back button to view the playlist’s songs and I have to go back to the menu and browse for the playlist again.

After all, it’s still a good piece of software compare to other mobile software out there. It costs £12.82 excluding taxes but free upgrade for registered users.

A very good day …

Good day, nice weather, nice dream yesterday, nice lunch break. Everything seems to be nice today but surely, something always let me down. The heating is off from last night until this morning. Maybe the landlord did something with the heating timing when he came yesterday. And it’s really ’shock’ to take shower in the morning without heating.

The Virgin Media’s technician came just now and Mee was there to see what he was up to. But this time it was a different technician and he however, managed to fix the line temporarily. He will need to come again next Saturday to get the cable done properly.

I dreamt last night, but it was a good dream. I tried to recall it but I could not. Maybe I will recall it tomorrow. Hope so.

Last night, Mee went to Lidl with Aga; one of our housemates. After work, I went to the town to buy my £1 umbrella and top up my mobile before meeting them at Lidl. I took a bus from bus station because walking to Lidl will take me about 25mins and it was raining at that time. As it was my first time going to Lidl by bus, I asked the driver before boarding. He was kind enough to slow down the bus and asked if anyone is going to Lidl as the bus approached Lidl.

Later, Aga, Mee and I walked back to our house; about 20-25 mins walk. After our dinner, we chatted with Aga about their Polish food, fruits and some relationship stuffs. At Lidl, Mee recommended Aga to buy some mangoes and dragon fruit because she never tasted it. The dragon fruit costs 99p each and she loved it. I told her about durian but she never heard of it.

Nightmare … s …

Phew, I have been busy since yesterday. I am trying to brush up my Access skills as I found out that I forgot a lot of the commands and workarounds. Luckily, I have been able to catch up. On the other hand, there are some SQL tasks that I need to finish it.

I am having the same nightmare for two nights. I don’t actually remember the story on Sunday night but I clearly remember yesternight’s. As usual, in dreams, you tend to have everything blurry. I was more like a third-person, watching a girl and her family living in horror. They were chasing something and I was together with the girl. I felt the grasp of my breath becoz we were like chasing for something all the time. And each time, we would find something, which I can’t remember, and the girl would cry desperately. There were a moment where we woke up from our sleep and found a corpse on top of a cupboard. The scene looked like my previous rented room where I mentioned in my previous post (Feng Shui) about the shaking door.

Come to think of it, I had typed the blog half way on Sunday and only to publish it on Monday. I would say that I kind of waste a lot of energy in that nightmare because I felt really tired after I got up from bed; but I did not wake up at any time of the dream until my alarm sounded.

I am now thinking whether I will have the same dream tonight. Anyway, there are too much things which cannot be explained. Some people are specialized in dream interpretation and of course I won’t be paying money for it. I googled and found Dream Moods.

I typed ‘Corpse’ for interpretation and it shows that I am unexpressive. I then typed ‘Chase’ and it shows that I am attempting to overcome a difficult goal or task or expressing some aggressive feelings toward other.

Hmm… I feel that it’s quite true. Unexpressive because I am very quiet at work. I just do my work all the time and only talk when they talk to me. Expressing aggressive feelings because of the problems with the new housemate as we do not have any meeting yesterday and we are quite disappointed with the landlord.
