At 1530 today, the office network was down because one of the switches was very noisy and had to be replaced. However, the job was not done because the replacement switch is even noisier. When they finished replacing and connecting the switch, it was already 1640 and everyone was preparing to go home. Before that, at 1615, my manager asked me whether I wanted to go home because there was nothing I could do as the network was down.
It had been wet and cold for the past few days. Today’s weather reminds me of the advertisement by most sports centres where they encourage people to sign up to keep fit in order to prepare for the coming summer. Personally, I have tried both ways; going to the sports centre and doing exercise at home. Determination plays a very important role. I manage to put on some weight and build up muscles just by doing some exercise at home but did not improve by going to sports centre. Part of the reason is because I am lack of determination and motivation to work out at the sports centre.
However, having some gym equipment at home is equally good and it has been quite affordable compare to the past. The weather is good today. Bright and sunny. I am taking steps to backup my current blog design and also contents. It is quite difficult because sometimes net2ftp scripts just halted halfway. Maybe it is because I am using the web service rather than having the program installed on my computer. All I am doing now is to backup all the relevant file into one directory and zip the folder and backup it up to my pen drive.
After that, I think that I should overwrite the files with my new design. Hope everything works smoothly.
I have been looking for laptops again lately to check out the latest and available models. Right now, I think that MacBook is very expensive to own since what I will be doing with the laptop is mainly to blog and doing some other stuffs while I am back to Malaysia. Thus, Asus EEE PC900 is still my main choice and that cost about £329.99 and almost every online-shop is out of stock currently.
As I browse through other website such as Dell, HP and Toshiba, none of them are attractive in the sense that the prices are low except Dell. Dell has quite some range of cheap laptops but I wonder about their quality. One thing that I like about Dell online is the customization of laptops. All the laptops start off with the lowest price and you can then add the RAM, increase hard drive capacity or get a high performance processor. However, there is one thing which I do not like about it is that there is no option to remove the operating system. I plan to use Linux instead of using Windows operating system when I buy a new laptop.
Comparing Dell to Asus EEE, the difference is about £70. I get a larger screen, a larger hard drive, a better processor, a larger RAM and a DVD writer but of course, Dell is much heavier than Asus EEE. That’s a big headache. Well, I think that I should leave the headache until I am ready to make the purchase.

USA Network’s new original series In Plain Sight is a new drama series which starts on the 1st of June 2008. Every information that you ever need to know about this drama is on the USA Network website. There are also mini games that will crack your head in order to resolve the problems with the given clues and instructions. One of the most interesting facts would be the Witness Protection Program. Well, just by reading the summary of this new drama, I believe it is the first time that I have wanted to be a witness rather than a US Marshall.

If I were part of the Witness Protection Program, I would love to move to New York. It may sound a little bit dangerous because being a witness, every bad guys involve would want me dead even before I could testify against them. However, life is short, live life to the fullest. The reason that I choose New York City is because it is one of the most advance cities in the world and the transportation runs 24 hours a day, 7 days week. After all, it is a city that never sleeps.
Why I mention about the witness protection program? Well, of course it is about the all-new USA Network’s new original series In Plain Sight. It is not just about solving crimes and investigations, it is about protecting witnesses so that they will not be threatened or killed by the bad guys. Witnesses under the program will be given a new name and new life in a new city.
