Today is the last day of August 2008. I will be updating my top EC droppers list tomorrow and will be sending some EC points to them. Thanks for their continuous dropping!

Mee and I went to the town centre in the morning and bought some vitamins. There were sales going on and we went to Debenhams. I bought some shirts, ties and a pair of jeans at discounted price. They were quite a bargain. It was quite scary because people were queuing in front of the shops before the shops opening hours especially at Primark. It is Sunday and I thought they were supposed to do some roasting? Well, that is the craze in UK I think. I have not gone into Primark since its opening six months ago.

Then, it started to rain heavily in the afternoon but luckily we were back at home by that time. We ate simple today; porridge for lunch and fried noodle for dinner. Another weekend, gone.

A while ago, I wrote about bedroom fengshui. Someday, I am going to refine that article again. In fact, I am going to refine every article that I have written previously. I am going check back the grammar and spelling as well as missing words. Bedroom is all about comfort and relaxes. Somehow, I could not get that kind of comfort in this rented room. Housemates are not that understanding. They all know that the sound proof is not that good but they still like to make noises early in the morning as well as middle of the night.

How good it will be to have a memory foam mattresses? I have a memory foam pillow but there are reports stating that memory foam mattresses improve sleep compared to just pillow. I have seen those mattresses sold in major superstores but I am unwilling to pay for it since I am just renting a room at the moment. It will be difficult when moving. Mee has cooked curry quite a few times. But this time, it is the Assam Fish. The word ‘assam’ normally means sweet and sour as well as spicy. The Assam Fish Paste itself is very spicy though. However, Mee added some ketchup in order to neutralize the flavor. Of course, the result is never disappointing. As usual, the ingredients are a lot. Mee and I did not sleep well for the last two days. Our housemate’s boyfriend was very noisy during the night and early in the morning. As always, he kept using the downstairs’ toilet instead of the upstairs on. And he never flushed which made us wonder what he had been doing in the toilet. He does not understand English and we cannot really communicate with him. As told by our housemate, he will be here for only two weeks and this weekend is the deadline. Otherwise, we will have sleepless night.

It is weekend time. I am not having any pizzas today because I have an ulcer. Instead, I only had bread and eggs for breakfast. I will try to eat some fruits later. Just watched The Spiderwick Chronicles. Thinking back, it has been quite a while since I wrote any movie reviews. Hmm…. I do not know when I will start it again because I am writing some other topics at the moment. But I am confident that I will soon begin to write movie reviews so that when I read back, they will refresh my memories.

The enrolment week will end on Monday. They thought that it would be busy on Thursday but it was not. There are many unpredictable things in life anyway. When you think that you have done the necessary preparation, the result may not be what you expected. Next week will be busy for me but not because of the enrolment. The new academic year starts and we have a few things to implement. We as in the MIS department. I must focus and make sure that things are done correctly. One slight mistake is not acceptable.

I have not really talked about my Scotland trip and it has been more than a month already. I remember that my sister told me about a famous seafood restaurant. However, Mee and I do not like to eat seafood; thus, we excluded it from our schedule. Erm… Do I hate seafood that much? I do love seafood but sometimes I am sensitive to it. Mee on the other hand, dislike seafood because most restaurants do not cook fresh. I cannot really explain the ‘sometimes’ because my lips and skin are easily irritated depending on how the seafood is cooked.

Well, if you ask me to choose between seafood and fish, I will go for seafood. I came across Great American Seafood Cook-Off 2008 website and there are some great seafood recipes from great chefs available to download. They promote sustainable and domestic seafood in their recipe which is really good because domestic seafood is known of its great taste and freshness. The cook off is going on at the moment and visitors are encouraged to vote and enter the contest to win a trip to New Orleans. There are simply no rules and all you need to do is to vote your favorite out of the top five seafood recipes listed.

Talking about my favorite seafood recipes out of the top five would be the Texas Gulf Shrimp. This is a recipe created by Chef Mark Holley of Texas, as the name says for itself. It says serves eight but I believe that I would be able to eat all of it. It looks so tasty and the heirloom tomato relish will serve perfectly with the shrimp. Well, I like tomatoes. What about you?
