One of my colleagues just treated us with Halloween cakes that she made. They were simple individual cupcakes with some toppings. Light and nice. The council here encourages people who do not wish to be disturbed during Halloween period, to put up posters such as the one attached in this post.
Days ago, it was snowing but today is bright and sunny. However, the day gets dark at 1700 and it is really cold at that time. And today is Friday!!! Last day of October, salary day and best of all, weekend approaches.
The good news this week is that I have talked to my manager and he has approved my holiday. I have yet to talk to my department manager but she will be alright since my manager has approved it. But just to be sure, I will talk to her next week because she is on holiday this week. And I can go back in the coming Chinese New Year!!! Hooray !!!
The daylight saving was adjusted last Sunday. Since then, the day is dark at 1700 hours. As forecasted, it snowed last night. The snow was quite heavy because within minutes, all the cars by the roadside were covered with snow, so as mine. I woke up early today so that I would have some time to clear of the iced snow that covered my car.
The next thing I knew was I could not even open my car’s door. Not all four of them. The iced snow that covered my car was almost one inch thick. The handles were covered with ice and I had to break the ice first. Then, I started breaking the ice that covered all the windows and Mee came out to help me. Minutes later, I was able to open the door. I ignited the engine and turned on the heated screen immediately. 20 minutes later, I was able to set off to work. However, the road to work was congested. Apparently, some roads were closed.
I was late to work and someone was even later than me. But everyone knew what had happened.

A lot of people shun themselves from donating in the public. Me too. I do not know whether those people who ask for donations are for real because the documents they provide maybe forged. The easiest way is to call the relevant body to check whether they are having a donation event on that day and at that particular location. Well, that proves to be too troublesome and it comes down with two options; donate or not donate.
AidMaker is online software that will turn your computer to a charitable tool. As online shopping is getting popular, www.agoodcause.co.uk launches AidMaker to enable shoppers to shop and donate at the same time. If you have AidMaker software installed, just choose your favourite charity and start shopping. You only need to pay the online retail price and the online retailer will donate part of the purchase to the selected charity.
AidMaker is available for Windows and Mac users and it is FREE to use and download. Do your part now just by shopping online and let AidMaker and the retailers do their part.

Everything seems to have stopped right at the moment. No improvement, no changes, absolutely nothing except updating everyday. I mean my blog. At this point of time, I will continue to update it with my daily life even though it is not really relevant at all to my blog’s title. Well, I am really patient at the moment. Once I buy a netbook, update will be a lot easier and I will overhaul this whole blog.
All My Reviews is doing well at the moment. At least it is a blog that serves its purposes. I have published quite a few reviews and I will keep posting and posting reviews. Thus, there are no changes needed to be made on All My Reviews except My Ideas 4 You. Till then, I am keeping an eye on the netbook varieties and functionalities.
I am still waiting for a hands-on review on Lenovo Ideapad and Samsung NC10 because they are due to launch in November 2008. However, my focus is totally shifted to Dell Mini Inspiron 12 which will probably launch at the end of November 2008. It will be a 12” netbook where the specifications will be almost the same as other netbooks. The greatest advantage is that it is only 0.2” thicker than Macbook Air. Nevertheless, the performance cannot be compared to Macbook Air.

Mee and I had a busy day yesterday. We went to Colindale in the morning for Mee’s facial appointment and it was raining. Gladly, it did not cause any congestion on our way to Colindale. As usual, we went to the Wing Yip superstore nearby to buy some Chinese food. The place was crowded. IKEA is just nearby and we both thought we should go and have a look. IKEA was even more crowded. Just queuing to pay alone wasted 30 minutes of our time.
On our way back, the traffic came to almost a standstill on the motorway because of some accidents happened. It took us twice as much time to get home than usual which was very frustrating.
This week is the term holiday. The car park is not as full as compared to term time. All the computers in the college were upgraded to IE7 and surprisingly, Entrecard works with my Firefox Portable now.
Entrecard Widgets mystery
With the ability to see Entrecard widgets using Firefox, I can drop Entrecards a lot easier and convenient now.
