HOME ABOUT CONTACT DISCLOSURE

It is the end of November. I listened to the 2Ten radio station yesterday and the DJ said that a month from now, the Christmas is over. Start from next week, some of my colleagues will be selling raffle tickets and there will be an event before Christmas where draws will take place. As far as I know, none of my colleagues have won anything.

Christmas certainly is a big event here. I am attracted to the sales too. Hence, I have been swiping my credit card whenever I see something cheap and I need to use it. Luckily, I clear my credit card’s balance every month. In fact, just a few months after my credit card application was approved, the bank had increased my credit limit.

The sales are getting even attractive as the price war between major supermarkets is more serious than ever. Most of them are taking the advantage of the VAT cut introduced by the government. Banks are not left behind too. Mee and I have been receiving letters about personal loans as well as credit cards’ application forms. Well, I believe one credit card is more than enough at the moment. After all, we do not know the best overall credit card as long as the credit card we have at the moment does not create problem for us and we clear the balance each month.

The office server was down since last Friday. It is still in ICU at the moment and it might be up and running this afternoon. However, the advice from the IT support here is to use the server internally rather than college wide until they transfer all the data to a new server. I agree to that suggestion because the server may fail again due to instability of server hardware. However, my manager and ex-manager do not agree. They would rather have the old server running college wide and me doing the backup of our software ever hour until the new server is built.

Well, the backup part is alright but what if the old server failed again before the new server is up and running? The reason that the IT team suggested us to use it internally is to let us do our work rather than waiting for the new server. Otherwise, they would just inform us that we have to wait for the new server and they have scrapped the old server.

Mee worked late shift yesterday. She cooked me dinner before she left, hehe, nice. I managed to install Mac OS X Leopard 10.5.5 on my Samsung NC10 and so far, it was running fine. Right now, I have to do some research on Mac command to make things work because I am a Mac-noobie. I have also stopped using Firefox Portable and switched to Google Chromium. Well, I guess I made the right choice.

I have to start wearing jacket nowadays. This morning was icing cold. It gets even colder when the wind blows. Hmm… this is the last week of November. Next month is Christmas time and it is all about spending and spending and spending.

Well, in my mind, I thought of changing my phone again since I repaired my Nokia E61. I thought the Sony Ericsson P990i could replace the Nokia E61 but I was wrong. The WiFi is not up to speed and navigation through the menus is slow. I read on forums that Sony Ericsson P1i improves a lot from Sony Ericsson P990i but the WiFi is still the same B range. Nokia E61 works flawlessly when making VOIP calls but Sony Ericsson lags terribly.

Hmm… I am finding excuses now. Yeah, that is right. I thought of changing the phone but at the same time, I still love Sony Ericsson P990i’s touch screen. What is the mobile phone in my mind then? It will be Sony Ericsson K850i; A simple and small mobile phone with normal functions. Since I already have a netbook and Nokia E61, I think it will be nice for me to get a normal mobile phone.
