I have been looking for a memory card for sometime. Currently, Mee’s camera is using a miniSD card in a SD converter. I know that I should not be worrying too much but I am just afraid that the converter might not be reliable. On the other hand, I believe that a SD card will perform better than a miniSD card in a SD converter.
Just last week, Morrisons has reduced the prices on compact flash cards, SD cards and SDHC cards. I am particularly interested in the SD cards package; £8 for 2X2GB SD card. SDHC is out of question because the technology did not exist when the camera was first introduced. On the other hand, Play.com is selling Extreme II 2GB SD card for £4.99. The price is considered very cheap compared to high street price and it is said to perform faster than normal SD card.
Hmm… tough decision. In the end, I might go for the Extreme II 2GB SD card but I will be going back to Malaysia soon. It might be worth checking out the price in Malaysia.

Shopping over the festive periods is not always the best experience. Take for example, my shopping during the last Christmas. Most of the shopping malls were crowded with shoppers before and after Christmas. Sometimes, I just do not feel like to shop in the crowd. Before I could make my way to the payment counter, I needed to queue to get into the fitting room. Before I could finish browsing the sales items, I found myself in the middle of the crowd, looking at the same items. Even the toilets were full most of the time.
Gosh, wouldn’t it be easier to just shop online during Christmas, New Year, Black Friday, Easter and the likes? No pushing, no queuing, no traffic jams, and not even have to step out of home!

I am doing the backup of my blogs. Quite a painful and long process because I am trying to zip all the files together. Eventually, it will be completed. One of the reasons of doing the backup is because I will be away for three weeks from next Monday. The internet access at my parents’ house is only dial up and to be on the safe side, a copy of backup is necessary.
This Friday will be my last day in office before my holiday. I will need to come in to the office at 0730 as I need to carry out the system upgrade with my manager. Hopefully, the process will be smooth. On the other hand, I am allowed to go home at 1530. Mee will be working on Saturday and on Sunday, Mee and I will be off to my sister’s place. On Monday, three of us will be traveling back to Malaysia. Nice.

When I was small, I could not differentiate between Sanyo and Sony. I thought they were the same; both Japanese company and the quality should be good. However, it appears that Sony does better than Sanyo in the market but who can say that Sanyo’s product is no better than Sony? The fridge in my parents’ house is the same age as me and it is Sanyo. It is still in good and working condition but I must say that my mum has taken a great care of it. Otherwise, it would not have survived.
Mee and I own a few Sony products; Sony Ericsson P990i, Sony Ericsson V630i, Sony MP3 and MP4 players and Sony Playstation Portable. However, Sony music players are quite a let down. I do not quite understand why these players come with short earphone cables and extensions instead of just normal earphones with reasonable cable length. Other than that, there is nothing to complain about Sony’s products.
In the future, I will be looking forward to buying a gaming console. Well, the question that I will ask myself is, ‘Wii or PS3?’ I might choose Wii instead even though I love Sony Playstation 3 very much. Hmmm, PS4 might be out by the time I need to make such decision.
Sony Playstation 3 is what I thought of a great gaming machine. It has Blu-Ray drive and it works like a computer. Yeah, you might say that Xbox and Wii are quite the same. But as far as I can see, Wii is in a different category where the games are mostly suitable to play with family members and friends. Xbox may seem to be the same as PS3 but I just prefer PS3 and the sleek design. As said, Wii will be my first choice because I would love to have Mee playing games with me. Who knows, I might get a PS3 later on.

One of the purposes of going back to Malaysia is to sort out Mee’s visa. I reckon that it will be a quick procedure and it will take about the same time as my previous visa application. As a bid to control the number of people coming into UK, the border and immigration control has come out with dozen of rules as well as reviewing existing rules all the time. A few months after I obtained my work permit, a new rule has made it compulsory for every employer to apply a license before they can sponsor or hire anyone abroad and most of the visa categories have been amended to follow a specific Point Based System.
The less affected visa application would be the student category especially students studying in medical assistant training school as well as nurses or care school, accounting school and other highly demanded skills in UK.
As much as the people in UK hopes that changes would make it difficult for foreigners to come into the country, the number of immigrants coming to UK and the number of UK citizens migrating to other countries have increased over the years.
The weather is unpredictable. It is raining at the moment and it is windy since last night. The temperature has gone from minus 13 degrees a few days ago to about 7 these two days. Well, I prefer the weather now rather than the chilling condition in the past week. Whenever I talk about weather, I thought of a saying that UK people are always talking about weather especially when they have nothing to talk about. That is quite true because 80% of my conversations with my other colleagues are always started with weather condition.
My sister is generous enough to treat both Mee and I for haircuts before we go back to Malaysia. Well, initially, I thought that a haircut by Mee would be good enough but my sister said that she will treat me too if I am going for a saloon haircut. Thus, Mee helped me to book a time for me on today’s evening. Gosh, it has been a long time since I had my haircut in a saloon. Since there is only one stylist today, Mee will have to book a time on other day. Thank you sis!!!
Just hours ago, the fire alarm sounded and all the staffs had to go to the assembly point and wait in the rain.
