The one thing that I do not understand …

Surely, I have a lot of things that I do not understand. But one thing for sure is the Google Pagerank. Part of the reason is I do not take the time to understand it. It has been more than a year since I started blogging. Some of you may have already known that I have two blogs and I still could not understand full about Google Pagerank.

I have tried leaving tons of comments to get backlinks but at the end of the day, the Google Pagerank for My Ideas 4 You is still zero. Alright, maybe my effort was not good enough or maybe I do a lot of pay per post kind of thing. Well, after all, I did try and I got nothing. Eventually, Google Pagerank is put behind my mind until today.

I checked the Google Pagerank for both of my blogs out of curiosity. It is not like I got a Google Pagerank for My Ideas 4 You. In fact, My Ideas 4 You’s pagerank is still zero. Surprise, surprise, All My Reviews has a Google Pagerank of 1 which I do not know exactly how that happened.

There are virtually no backlinks or should I say quality backlinks because I seldom leave comments under All My Reviews. My visitors are not a lot but I would say that I have no pay per post thingy on it. Thus, I really do not understand the magic of Google Pagerank. Well, well, what can I do with it? I mean Google Pagerank 1.

Beach vacation thought

Few weeks ago, I was looking at information about applying UK visas. At the same time, I took a look on applying US visas. As Mee has already got a US visa, I thought it would be nice that I could get a US visa and plan a trip since it will be much cheaper to go from UK rather than Malaysia.

I was quite disappointed because applicants can only apply at their home country because the US visa centres at each location are designed to evaluate the citizens there. How I wish that I could go on beach vacation rentals; even though I do not swim.

Well, I am going to ask the travel agencies in town to see if they got a way for me to apply US visa in UK when I have the time.

Spendings …

It has been a week without Mee in UK. Hopefully, she will be able to join me soon. Right now, we are still waiting for a date to collect her passport. For me, everyday is more or less the same. I go to work in the morning and come back home straight after work. Sometimes, I will run some errands on my way home. However, I call Mee every midnight and funnily, I told her that one of my ways of keeping myself occupied is to find ways to spend money.

Indeed, I have been finding quotes and suitable computer components to build a new personal computer. In addition, I am thinking of upgrading my current TV package to size L and that will be an addition of more than 50 channels to the existing 45 channels. And that will cost £11 per month. On the other hand, I also thought of getting the one and only chinese channel called the Phoenix for £5.88 per month. Most probably, I will choose either one of the two.

I have not renewed my car’s road tax and I must remind myself to do that. Come March, I need to take my car for service and MOT. This is a money-spending year I guess.

One of our housemates told Mee through MSN that the other couple will be moving out soon. His wife found a job and has to get to the train station early in the morning. Since I came back from Malaysia, they went to work even before I took my shower. In the past, the husband went to work after me. As usual, they are quite noisy. Even when they are sleeping, I could hear the husband snoring.

Just now, my landlord came but I was on the phone. I wonder if he has something to tell me because he left before I hung up.

Evolving

Since I started blogging, I learn a lot. The habit of blogging has evolved from a daily task to blogging with love. The difference is that when you take it as a daily task, you get tired of it eventually. For now, I blog whenever I want to without any influence. Indeed, blog marketing has evolved rapidly since I joined several blog marketing companies more than a year ago.

As most of you may have already known that blog marketing requires you to just blog about anything; products, services, companies, people, movies and the likes. It is not necessarily making your blog goes out of topic and it is up to you on how you put the review into words that fit into your blog.

I believe that I will give myself 80% in blending blog marketing posts into my posts. As my blog and writing skills evolve, many of the blog marketing websites are improving too. One significant change in Paying Post recently is their layout. When I first joined, I thought that it was hard to navigate around and Paying Post was too plain to attract advertisers and bloggers. But look at Paying Post now. They have a whole bunch of articles and one particular article that I like is titled The Art of Reviewing. It helps a great deal for me when writing for my other blog.

New project …

The weather has been warm nowadays. Snow is unlikely to be seen at this moment. And guess what, it is school term now. Some of my colleagues are not in because they are part-timers.

Mee is unable to access the internet because her house’s laptop is down. Her father has bought a new computer but I doubt it arrives today because I have yet to receive any email from Mee. It is a RM1150 complete personal computer with AMD Sempron processor. I have asked Mee to either change the processor to AMD Athlon 64 X2 or upgrade the original 1GB DDR2 RAM to 2GB DDR2 RAM if the price is reasonable.

Well, it is quite a good bargain for a complete working PC if you are just using it for day to day process and internet. RM1150 is about £230 and it comes with a 19” LCD monitor. Right now, I am planning to build a new PC with a budget of £300. I have done quite a lot of research these few days particularly on the prices, processor, motherboard and most importantly, the online computer shops’ reputation. The range of hardware that I will be looking at is more towards to HTPC type rather than gaming PC.

The two new rooms

Talking about my parents’ house renovation, I must say that I am very impressed. Even Mee is impressed by the way my parents renovated it. The whole area of the house just looks larger and I am proud to say that it is a 5 bedroom house. There are three bedroom fitted with air conditioner. And I am very glad with the choice of air conditioners’ brand (Mitsubishi) rather than some unknown brand. The reason of me saying that is unknown brands tend to be cheap but in the long run, they will cost more in electricity.

Initially, I thought that the two new rooms will be very small but they turn out to be quite spacious. Both rooms can fit a double bed and a wardrobe too. My parents also bought new mattress and my mum secretly told me that my dad was going to buy air beds for both the rooms. I thought that was a bad idea too because I reckon that sleep is very important and air bed is only used in camping and not suitable for long term usage. However, not until I saw comfort number bed and sleep number bed.

Comfort number bed is totally different compared to the normal airbeds as it enables the users to choose from 50 arbitrary and comfort set points as well as sleep memory and automatic bedfill functionality. With the incredible feature, users will be able to select the types of settings that conform to the body and choose the comfortable level from the medically recognized mm/Hg (millimetres of Mercury) adjustable sleep support settings. Phew, that is way complicated and advanced than the normal airbeds that we see on sales.

Finally, the mosquito problem still exists. The army of mosquitoes is everywhere in the house. If you open the rooms’ door for more than 3 seconds, most probably, you will be harassed by mosquitoes when you sleep in that room at night. One more thing that I love about the new rooms is that there are not many furniture in them and we can easily spot the mosquitoes.
