One of the things that I discovered during my trip to Malaysia and back is that I did not experience any jetlag. During my previous trip, I was very tired in the afternoon but wide awake a night. That went of for few days. But now, I found a way to overcome the jetlag. Maybe it will not work for you but it definitely works for me.
It is simple. My flight to Malaysia departed from London to Amsterdam at about 1600 (London time). Then from Amsterdam to Malaysia at 2045 (Amsterdam time). My watch was still following London time and I just forced myself to sleep at 0000 London time. On my way back to UK, again I forced myself to sleep at 0000 Malaysia time. And that means that in order to overcome the jetlag, I just have to sleep according to the time where I depart on the first night.
Before this, my ex-manager, who was a steward previously, told me to get enough of sleep before getting on the flight. However, it just did not work out for me. As I have already found my way to overcome jetlag, have you found yours?

When I was in Batu Pahat, I met my ex-college-mate, Chai Yan. It has been like two years since I last met her. She is still the same but everyone who has seen me will say that I have become thinner. Well, my weight is still the same, so I do not know why they said that. Maybe they expect me to be fatter.
Back to Chai Yan. She ventures in cosmetic products with another partner and they have been selling the products all over Malaysia. Ultimately, they wish to open a cosmetic shop and getaway from 9 to 5 jobs. Before that, they even thought of getting involve in small business franchise such as the blooming Old Town coffee shop. However, the capital investment is too high for them to even consider.
Well, I am happy for Chai Yan because she has managed to take the first step. Me, on the other hand, still thinking the kind of businesses that I will be keen to get involve. Of course, everyone of us would like to do our own business and not being tied down to 9 to 5 jobs, but not everyone successes.
Guess what? I am in Basingstoke now. I arrived at London Heathrow Airport at around 0800. Since I arrived at Terminal 4 instead of the usual Terminal 3, I had to take a bus to the Heathrow central bus station to catch a bus back to Sutton. I waited more than 30 minutes for the bus that goes to Heathrow central bus station. The bus service should be more efficient. Later, I had to wait for another 30 minutes for the bus to Sutton. Finally, I arrived at my sister’s flat in Sutton at 1130. Upon entering the flat, piles of letters, magazines and advertisement were at the doorsteps. I rested a while and called Mee too.
Then, I arranged the letters and I found a warning letter. It was a warning letter to my sister because my car was parked at the visitor’s car parks for too long and the management received a lot of complains from the residents. In addition, the letter also mentioned that the management has voided my sister’s rights to use the visitor’s car parks. I was kind of shocked and I quickly went to my car to check if the battery would still work. Surprisingly, I met the lady who wrote the letter when I was walking towards my car. I thought I would be scolded but she nicely told me that my sister should call to the management to inform them if the visitor’s car parks will be used for more than two weeks. She then continued by saying that the rights to use the visitor’s car parks were not voided and asked me not to worry. Phew, what a relieve.
Right now, I need to rest. I do not think that I experience any jetlag but I need to stay up late tonight, so I better get some rest now.

I met some of my old friends during Chinese New Year. Old friends because I have known them since primary schools. Some of them thought that UK life was colorful and exciting but I would only tell them that it is not that kind of life as they would have thought so. Shops close at 8pm the latest during weekdays and 4pm during Sunday. So, people who lives in UK will normally go to pub or disco after that or stay at home.
Mee and I are the latter type. We watch Hong Kong drama, tv and online shopping once a while. Shopping in UK is really easy and everything can be done online. I like to shop for games and electronics while Mee, of course likes uk clothes shop and Divine Trash online fashion is the place she often visits.
The website is easy to browse and with pictures for everything sold on the site; T-shirts, accessories, trousers, shoes and the likes. The descriptions are quite detailed for each of the products and you can also search for a particular brand such as French Connection, Fenchurch and Wrangler or other brands that you like all in one page without having to navigate to the main page.
It is Saturday and two more days, I will be flying back to UK. Time flies, as usual. I was not able to post that frequently due to the limited internet connectivity that I have. As far as I know from the news, UK has been snowing heavily this week. The college that I work for closed on Monday because most staffs and students were not able to go to the college as roads were block by the heavy snow. Hopefully, nothing bad happened to them.
I will start my work on the 11th and I am wondering what will happen to me on that day. Am I going to fall asleep because of jetlag? However, I am sure that all of my colleagues will be asking me about my holiday in Malaysia over and over again. Three weeks of holiday and how am I going to explain all of it to them? Maybe I will just say, good, nice, brilliant and that’s it. Or just nod and nod and nod while they ask.
