Birthday Cards – 03/06/2009

I took a day off yesterday to get some rest as well as celebrating my birthday with Mee. Well, it was not really a fancy celebration and Mee made a cake for me as well as treated me to Beefeater, a chargrill restaurant located near the place we live. The food was nice and we loved it. Best of all, they were priced reasonably. The weather was great throughout the day though it got cold in the evening. Bad enough, I have flu but I blame it to the weather because our room gets dusty very quickly.

The day before, we had our first Step. It was like an aerobic dance. There were all ladies except me and I felt awkward at first. Anyway, it was just an exercise and Mee and I have agreed that we will put our name on next week’s schedule.

As you may have already noticed, I have added RSS feeds to my other blog, All My Reviews. This serves as an announcement to whatever I have posted on All My Reviews. In addition, I am looking forward to updating it as regularly as possible in order to bring up-to-date news and reviews.

The housemates we have seemed to have settled in for now. Mee and I have not heard anything about anyone moving out and we do not have any plan of moving out at the moment even though the housemate lives in the room above ours is a little bit noisy. We are not that bothered anymore because we are always at Aquadrome. The rent is still reasonable but the landlord seems to visit us less frequently except collecting rents.

I remember when we first came to UK, I bought a memory foam pillow. It works all right because the shape maintains. I am still using it now though. The mattress that comes with the room we rent, however, is not really good. When I wake up in the morning, the whole mattress shakes and Mee will be awake. Changing the bed to a sleep number bed is not feasible and of course, we would like to have a new bed for our own house in the future.

Anyway, it is just some ranting and there is still a lot of planning to do.

My car is in the college’s workshop. The staff who checked my car previously was not in the college last week because it was a non teaching week. I handed my key over to him just now and he asked again whether it was the engine light problem. I nodded and he said that he will check it again.

I was a bit puzzled because he had checked it a few times before this and the last he told me was that I need to change the oxygen sensor. I told him about it and he insisted of checking it again. Well, maybe he just wants to make sure that engine light problem does not cause other problems. Anyway, the college’s workshop does not incur labour charges.

Come next month, I will need to source for auto insurance. I do hope that my auto insurance will go down since I did not claim anything over the past year. As before, I will look into several auto insurance comparison websites before deciding which one to buy.
