What a nice day today! Don’t know why but it just happens to be a nice day because it has been bright and sunny since morning. This evening, the server will be shut down and tomorrow, the whole college’s power will be cut off because there are works to be carried out around the college. Previously, it has been said that the works will be carried out on Monday but it has proved to be too much of a hassle.

The good news today is that the IT department has bought some new computers and my team, the MIS, will be eligible to update our computers to the new one. However, we do not know how soon the computers will be available to us. Prior to that, I will have to install all the necessary software when the computers arrived.

I use Megaupload a lot and I have registered a normal account user. The difference between a normal account user to a guest is that the wait is only 25 seconds compared to 45 seconds. However, recently I do not have to wait at all and I can have multiple downloads at once. I wonder if it was a happy hour kind of thing but that has been going on for days. Great!

Hmm… I just booked my car in for the cambelt change. The workshop is the same workshop where I got rid of the engine light illumination problem. I was quoted a different price previously and apparently, the price I was quoted now is cheaper, a lot cheaper. I even asked whether they have a different package of cambelt change service but I was told that is the standard price. Sometimes, when things are a little bit cheap, it seems too good to be true. I was quite reluctant at first, stuttered a few seconds, trying to make the decision. But well, since it is not the first time I have dealt with the workshop, it should not be a problem, I think.

I tried calling the local Ford dealer but no one was there to pick up my phone call. I recalled that I was quoted more than 500 quid for the cambelt kit. I reckon that Ford dealer might do a better job than the local workshop. But that may just be my very own opinion.

Mee went to Morrisons just now to discuss something with the personnel manager. The personnel manager had promised her that she will be in the office around but her shift changed to 1300. Hence, Mee came by to have lunch with me. When she reached home just now, she discovered that the engine oil that I bought was not in the living room where we placed it previously. In the end, Mee found out that our landlord has taken it to the storage room at the back of the house. Apparently, he was told by someone that the engine oil belongs to one of the housemates who have moved out. Well, the landlord does not live with us and he should not be moving things which do not belong to him.

I have not been doing useful posts lately, hmm…. just recording my daily life. That is the purpose of My Ideas 4 You but I seem to have left behind All My Reviews due to my work load as well as the new software that I am trying out on Samsung Omnia. In addition, I have to book my car in to a workshop in order to replace the cambelt. In Malaysia, they call it timing belt. Mee and I are looking forward to have it done next week, on my days off. I guess this is a reminder for me to get quotes from various workshops.

Mee’s Sunday’s late night work has certainly worn her out. She was not able to wake up as usual for the past two days. Part of it was also due to the fact that we have been exercising almost every day. On the other hand, I feel all right because I have to wake up early in the morning to work and that cannot be avoided. I have not talked to my manager yet but I am already looking forward to relaxing and resting during my days off next week.

Yesterday swimming lesson was a disaster too. Of all the lessons I have learnt, I have only met the actual swimming instructor once. He was either sick or on holiday. The other two replacement instructors were all right but they taught in a faster pace even though it is a beginner course. Hopefully after this week, the swimming instructor will be teaching the rest of the classes.

Last Saturday, the weather was nice. As usual, Mee went to work while I went to the gym; spinning and weighing. I was not feeling good, as if something was missing. I could not figure it out anyway. Maybe, I did not do enough warm up. On Sunday, Mee went to work from 1600 to 2100. After taking her to work, I went to the gym again. I did a proper warm up and I could feel that my body was working much better. Still, the Jacuzzi was closed, leaving both the Steam Room and Sauna Room working. Well, at least the Sauna Room was working but who knows how long it can last?

My manager is back while our department manager is away for two weeks. Well, I will take two days off next week and most probably, two days every week from next week because my leaves expire at the end of August.

Weird day, as usual. Yesterday spinning class did not go too well for Mee and me. The bikes were shaky and we find them difficult to handle. We felt weak unlike the previous week where we felt great. It is just funny how things could change in the span of few days. Hopefully, the new facility manager will get the bikes fixed as soon as possible. Furthermore, the Jacuzzi is not working and the only thing that is working is the steam room. Hence, it is almost pointless for us to use the health suite.

Mee’s Sony Ericsson C903 was sent for repair yesterday. In the repair form, it stated that they aim to repair the mobile within 7 days and hopefully, we will be able to collect it by the end of next week. It is frustrating that even the latest mobile phone nowadays can suffer from hardware problems and Mee had it for less than a month. I am absolutely sure that Mee had taken good care of it and flashing the software did not revive the phone either.
