It is the time of the year again where people start to think about holidays and holidays. For a start, my manager will be on leave for two weeks from next week while my department manager will go to Tunisia for vacation in three weeks time. Some other colleagues of mine will be going to various places and evenoahu hawaii. On the other hand, Mee and I fancy a trip to Spain. We have not booked it yet because quite a few things happen. But everything is clear now and we shall be able to book our trip as soon as we can. I cannot wait to go on a holiday, as I have not got a day off since September. All I did was to work and work and work.

I bought some Pepsi Raw a few days ago. The taste was quite special and the packaging looks nice too. But if it was not on promotion price, I would not have bought it. It still tasted like Pepsi except that it was very fizzy, clear and with a hint of herbs.

A couple of months later, we will be celebrating Christmas. Like in the past, Mee and I will be going to my sister’s house for a few days. It almost like going home for Chinese New Year in Malaysia except that there will be only three of us, hahaha…. On the other hand, most probably we will also be seeing Mee’s ex-part-time manager, who is also a Malaysian. I wonder if things have changed there. After all, that was the place where we lived for about a year and that was also the place where we experience sadness as well as happiness.

Still it will also be interesting to see if the kitchen sinks reseller, which is the store nearest to my sister’s place, is still opened. I believe, lots of things will remain the same.

These days, Mee has been sourcing for rugged mats. Her idea is to cover the carpet flooring like tile flooring but with rugged mats. We have to say that the carpet will still be dirty even though we vacuum it frequently. The best way would be removing the carpet but we are living in a rented room. The second best way will be to cover the floor with rugged mats or fleece throw. That way, we can wash it frequently and keep the floor clean.

By the way, it is mooncake festival today and Mee had bought mooncakes from her recent trip to London. We will be enjoying it later and hopefully, I will be able to post some pictures tomorrow.

Hmm… today we had our department meeting and the bad news was that the new principal has decided to change our system. We have previously expected that there would be a change in our system but we never expected it to be that quick decision; not before he consults our manager and department manager. The principal decision left us wondering about the budget where I have two projects on hold because of money wise. One project was about barcode scanner and document scanning while the other was about badges.

The current system is not that bad considering that it can still be improved by adding features and functionality. Of course, they involve money but I thought it will still be better than purchasing new system and having to train all the staffs. Anyway, there is nothing much we can do except wait and see.
