Last Sunday, I went to the town centre. It was full of people because of the good weather. I did some window shopping as I have not done it in weeks. I could not find a reason to make a purchase as some of the items were still considered expensive even after discounts. Among the cheaper items were sweaters, cardigans and boots because they are not current season items. Anyway, I saw a pair of Nike shoes at a discounted price but I could not find my size. I still bought it because Mee should be able to wear it comfortably.
We had our first yoga class today. It was good but we thought pilates is harder. I believe it will get harder each time.
Tomorrow, I will be going to another college to attend a software user group meeting. This time, I will be going alone because my manager needs to do a presentation. It should be exciting and maybe a little bit boring for me. I guess I will just sit there and listen to them because, so far, we have had not much problems with the software. Next week is going to be very exciting for me and Mee.

England lost to Germany. It is almost as expected because England has been poor right from the start of the World Cup. They way they play are very English; on a good day, they can beat any team, on a bad day, they lose to the unnamed teams. Sadly, they have more bad days than good days. Their spirit never dies and that’s the truth. Arrogant or confident, you name it.

The gym is ready. It looks fabulous. 95% of the equipment is new and most of the cardio machines have individual LCD TV at the front. The placement of the equipment makes the gym looks spacious yet it is disappointing that they did not do anything to the class-room. And the always-not-working-air-conditioning system is not being replaced. The good news is the classes resume this week and Mee and I are ready to assault our body by booking ourselves in a class a day start from today. Two classes were taken out; steps and body jam. Steps is replaced by Yoga while body jam is cancelled simply because the management is not paying for the licence fee anymore.

The management has decided to introduce a new staff ID badge which will also work as electronic sign in and sign out. We are still wondering how they are going to restrict the entrance to our office because we have so many entrances and different buildings. And the students are going to have ID badges as well but with different colour from the staffs. Most of the things are not finalized yet and most probably they are going to do a last minute job. The support staffs, which include me, are going to suffer. This is almost like the style of UK government where they just decide on something which they think is great but in the end, they either find it too tedious or the responses are not as good as expected. As a results, money is wasted, resources are used and no achievements.
Anyway, the management is discussing with some business card printing company and in the near future, we will be able to trace each and every staff’s trail in the office. Maybe we need to swipe our ID badge to get into toilet!

I never thought that I was a PC guy. Computer was not really my ‘thing’ and only my brother and sister had gone to computer classes in secondary school. I was studying in a different school and I never attended computer classes even though computer classes were offered. Our first home computer was given by our uncle (my mother’s brother) more than 15 years ago. It was an Apple computer with no hard disk drive and running on a 5.25” floppy diskette. The monitor only displayed black and green and the first game I played was 2D arcade racing game where the car went vertically and the mission was to press left or right to avoid other cars. As the level went up, so were the speed and the amount of cars to avoid.
A few years after than, my father bought a new computer which was aimed to help my brother and sister in using computer at home rather than relying on the computers at school. Well, that was what I thought. I believe that was in 1993. The computer came with a dot matrix printer which is still in my hometown! Hmm…. that was when I got very addicted to computer. I started borrowing and copying games from my friends. It was not long before I realised that the computer was not capable of running newer games. That was the time when I started to learn about hardware stuff; processors and RAMs. Furthermore, the computer came with only DOS Menu. After I got bored with DOS menu, I installed Windows 3.1 onto that computer.
Three years later, we got another new computer and it cost less than our first computer. It came with Windows 95 and we were sort of jaw-dropped when the computer was switched on. We entered the World Wide Web at 28.8kbps that year. I later switched it over the Windows Millenium which was crap and then Windows 98. At the end of my secondary school year, I studied computing at INTI College Subang Jaya, Malaysia. Excited but at the end of the course, 70% of my course-mates chose to pursue other career paths. I am still very loyal and very much involve in computer. On a normal day, the only time that I am not looking at a computer is when I sleep or probably driving.

I have just looked at the latest World Cup score and Serbia is ahead of Germany by one goal. How bizarre considering that Germany is a great team and the way they played their first match against Australia was incredible. Well, almost incredible in my opinion. Anyway, do you think they will win Serbia at the final whistle? I believe they will.
Tonight, I believe the whole Basingstoke town will be deserted. In fact, I think it will be same in every town in the UK. England will be playing against Algeria at 1930.

My weight has not dropped drastically since I stopped using the supplement daily. Well, the feeling is kind of great since I do not have to rely on one particular thing in order to maintain my weight. Occasionally, my weight drops more than I expect but as soon as I start eating more, I gain the dropped weight. The heaviest that I got was about 500 grams away from my ideal weight. I just have to keep on trying a variation of food and exercise. It has been two weeks without regular gym classes and losing abdominal fat proves to be a bit difficult. I still do a lot of crunches and press-ups whenever I am in the gym but it does not seem to be enough. Personally, I feel pilates work better on abdominal as most of the pilates exercises rely on abdominal muscles. I believe the gym is almost finish its renovation now and they are just waiting for the new equipment to come. I just cannot wait to see the finish product.

My office computer is not at its best recently. I have troubles using some of my daily programs. The IT support had sort of fixed it yesterday but it is even worse today. I have not logged another call to them but I will definitely do it tomorrow. I am afraid that they might have to format my computer. Fortunately, I have another spare computer with me except that it lacks a few pieces of software.
My manager is on holiday from today until the middle of next week. Soon, I will be going on my holiday too. In UK, May is like the last month with several Bank Holidays and I will be working without rest for the month of June. Hence, I cannot wait to go on holiday. Mee feels the same too because she has been hardworking and taking a lot of extra hours. Hope we will have an enjoyable holiday!
As said, the gym is officially under renovation and it is now in its second week. Two third of the gym is closed and members will have to resort to using limited gym equipment. Most of the available weight equipment is for teenager. I used them last Saturday and I did not feel much tension even though I set the weight to maximum. As there were not many people there, I tried free weights. Now, I am kind of addicted to free weights. Mee and I still attend the gym classes as often as we can. Most of the classes have been replaced by spinning while some of the spinning classes will be changed to circuit if the weather allows.
