It has been a busy week. 3rd June 2011 was my 30th birthday. As it was Friday, I have to leave it till Saturday to really celebrate it. On Friday, my colleagues gave me some presents and vouchers. They do it for anyone who reached their 20th, 30th, 40th and so on. So, Mee has hers on the 14th May 2011 too. I think it’s always difficult to buy presents for guys, especially me as I don’t fancy clothes and things. However, I am still glad that my colleagues still managed to get something for me though they left most of the money in the form of voucher which was great.
Saturday came, Mee and I have the usual routine except this time, my sis joined us. She was in London attending her Yoga workshop from 10am to 4pm. We met at Patisserie Valerie, our usual cake shop. It was quite late already because before that, Mee and I have been rushing around London, looking for HMV shops to purchase iPad2. I have originally set my eyes on the cheapest model of iPad2 but there were no stock in every HMV outlets in London. Mee and I have even gone to Apple Store in Covent Garden and they too, didn’t have any stock. I finally settled on the 32GB iPad2.
In the evening, we went to Zuma, a Japanese restaurant. Well, it was a really unhappy and angry experience. Even the best multivitamins available couldn’t replenish the energy that we have lost during the course of the meal. We complained to each other from the start until the finish. We were not even allowed to take photographs of the food! The service was just terrible and considering the quality of the food, it was overpriced. I don’t think Zuma will be in our list next time we look for a restaurant for any occasions.
