Being too specific can also be a disadvantage as it very much depends on the demand. Right now, Linux is in demand but if I were to start learning Linux now, the market would have changed by the time I finished studying Linux. That would be bad, wouldn’t it? I believe it’s still best to stick to what I know and the rest should be an interest instead.

I have changed my daily habit quite a bit minus the late sleeping part. I am still trying to coach myself to sleep early but it’s always until midnight where I start to get all energetic. I have started to take shower before having dinner. The vacuuming routine has changed from Sunday to Monday instead. Mee and I have started attending gym classes during weekend; Body Balance on Saturday and Zumba on Sunday. Well, Zumba is only for Mee as I am not interested. I will just be in the gym area doing free weights stuff. We used to also go to the gym on Tuesday as Mee attended aqua fit class. However, the pool has closed since before Christmas and will only be opened next week. Hence, we have been staying at home all this while on every Tuesday.

Right now, Mee and I can’t wait until our booked holiday period. The last time we went abroad was almost four months ago and it seems like forever. This time, we are quite ambitious as we will be going to Australia and possibly New Zealand. Mee has a couple of friends living in Australia and we could save quite a bit in the accommodation side of things. In addition, my uncle and his family lives in New Zealand, hence, we will most probably be going there and stay at his house for a few days while sight seeing.

When I saw that review, I thought how could iPod Touch be the best portable gaming console when it’s not even designed for gaming. I still think I was right but also wrong. Having own an iPad now, I can see how iPod Touch can compete against PSP. The screen is gorgeous though not as big as PSP. Initially, I thought touch screen control would not be better than physical control. Well, I play Fifa 12 on my iPad almost daily now and I do not feel that it is any different from playing Fifa on PSP. True enough, Fifa 11 for iOS was not really a good game to play with but the jump to Fifa 12 really makes it on par with PSP Fifa games. I believe that Fifa 13 will be really great to play.

Adding the accelerometer, playing racing games offers better experience than PSP. Okay, you might say that PSP Vita covers all these but the price is double the price of an iPod Touch. At the time of the review, PSP was still the chunky ones.

iPod Touch does a lot more things mainly because it runs iOS. It’s almost limitless compare to what you can do with PSP. The battery lasts longer and small to pocket too. On top of all that, the loading time is significantly faster than PSP and I can jump from games to games quickly and easily. I don’t even have to worry that I might worn out my PSP buttons and joystick anymore.

New Body Shop Oil Burner

This is our new Body Shop Oil Burner, to replace the cracked one that we had for years. It costs only £5 online and in addition of other products to make it up to certain amount, we got free delivery. It looks nice and simple, without the top cover like the old one. We never covered the top when we were using the old one anyway. The only thing which I am a bit uncomfortable is the hole where we put the tea light in. It looks like a big scary mouth at night, when I switch off one of the two room lights just so Mee can sleep while I stay up late.

Tea Light Oil Burner

Well, not exactly a great photo. It was taken around midnight using my HTC Desire. This tea light holder has accompanied Mee and I for years, but now, we have no choice but to abandon it as we got a new member. By the looking at the picture, it looked perfectly fine. However, there are cracks appearing near the top. Every time we light a tea light candle with essential oil + water on the top, the mixture somehow absorb into the burner and through to the cracks. When it cools down, the mixture becomes hardened, making it difficult to clean. Therefore, we decided that it’s time for a new member which arrived just a couple days ago. Goodbye then…!

As the new year arrives, everyone is talking about resolutions. I don’t really have any but if I were to list out mine, most of them would be always on going. That’s why I wouldn’t call them as resolutions. One thing in particular would be to maintain my weight or to increase it to the weight that I thought would be ideal which is about 65kg. I think I had that resolution from two years ago and it proves to be hard to achieve. I always believe that there is a limit to how far you can go with your weight without the help from surgeries and medicines. I prefer the healthy way and that’s why I only consume how much my body can take rather than forcing it.

Diet seems like a big business. Same as free dating sites and job sites. The beginning of the year is where they advertise almost constantly throughout the day. I, for one is getting tired of watching these advertisement. Another advertisement that has been going on for almost every day would be loan company. Their annual percentage rate (APR) is unbelievably high where I label them as licensed loan shark. How could the government allow them to operate legally where the rates are so much higher than bank. I believe that if one ever borrows money, say £1000 from them, it would take years to clear.

Today is the first day of Chinese New Year, year of the dragon. I guess it’s the second or third time that I will not able to be at my home country celebrating Chinese New Year with my families. And this year, I am not even going back to Malaysia at all. My sister is at home though and they should all be at my grandpa’s home at the moment. I am working now by the way. What a way to celebrate Chinese New Year.

Yesterday was, of course, Chinese New Year eve. Mee and I didn’t have anything special, just some everyday meal. We did call back home and talk for a couple of hours with our family members. I spent most of the day washing my car and jailbreaking my iPad2. Though jailbreaking my iPad2 wasn’t a smooth sailing process, I am still quite glad that I got it right in the end. More here

I had spent the past weekend doing nothing at all; except playing Fifa 2012 on my iPad and watching TV. As usual for Mee, she cooked and watched her own online TV programs. I just felt weak and my head seemed to be a few kilograms heavier. Anyway, I feel much better now having rested so much.

Playing Fifa 2012 can be quite challenging at times. And frustrating too. When it’s too easy, we wish that it could be harder. But when it’s too hard, we curse the computer (AI). Most of the times, the AI is just ridiculous and it’s better off playing against top teams than playing against teams at the bottom of the table. On some games, the AI goalkeeper is ridiculously good that it could block any shoot from any angle. On the other hand, your goalkeeper can be just rubbish. I have come to the fact that I just play it through no matter how ridiculously good the AI. I will have my revenge the next match. I can’t win all the matches anyway and that’s the same with real life football.

The settings still need some tweaking but I suppose Fifa13 will be very entertaining. Fifa11 is absolutely rubbish. It’s the same like Fifa for PC. It just gets better each year and I still don’t understand why people are complaining. Fifa just works for me.

By the way, I tested playing Fifa12 using iPhone as controller. It worked pretty good but the space is somehow limited. I kept going out of range and a mini-Fling gamepad will be ideal. However, my Fling has broken twice now and I don’t think I will invest in another one until a better one is available in the market.

I have just been into Facebook. It’s been quite a while since I last browsed through my friends’ pictures. The fact is, there is so many information that gets updated these days and if I haven’t been in Facebook for a day, I will be lost in the sea of news feed. Hence, I just take it easy and only login whenever I feel like it and browse anything which appears on my news feed. Anyway, I just saw some incredible candy apples pictures post by one of my Facebook friends. They look incredibly delicious and unique. I wonder if the pictures were taken in a shop or they were actually made by my friend. Some of her friends have already made some comments but she still hasn’t replied yet. I can’t wait to find out.

Talking about my approach on Facebook, I find that Flipboard really helps a lot. Flipboard is an iOS app that displays feeds from any sources like Facebook, twitter and RSS feeds. I just entered my Facebook account, Flipboard will then display my Facebook’s news feed like a newspaper format. I can then flip through from the latest posts to the last posts that Flipboard allows. Using Flipboard, I can still make comments, likes as well as create new posts. Thanks to the app integration, I can view Youtube videos effortlessly and zoom pictures by pinching the screen. I used to like Pulse but Flipboard just take the feeds reading to a whole new level.
