Act 2 - Declaration of Revenge! Howling Turbo
Part 1
Beginning

Keisuke Takahashi losses control of his car at stop at the middle of the road. His teammates arrive and they talk about the AE86. Keisuke\’s pride is torn up because his FD, which is tuned for mountain racing, lost to a 10-year AE86.
At Tofu Shop
Takumi receives a call from Mogi who invites him for a walk at the street. They then talk about going on a trip together during summer break with Takumi does the driving while she prepares the food.
Iketani searches for the rumoured AE86 and reaches the tofu shop with an AE86 at the driveway. He thinks that it is quite impossible for a car like that to outrun any cars nowadays which are more advanced and powerful. Just as he is about to leave, he sees Takumi and only realizes that Takumi\’s father, Bunta, is the owner of the shop.
Iketani and Takumi go for a ride while Iketani explains to Takumi that his car is an AE86. Takumi denies by saying that Trueno is the word at the back of the car. Later, Takumi feels embarrassed when Iketani explains to him that the name AE86 refers to the chassis in the car which is why people used to call it AE86 rather than Trueno.

At Petrol Station

When Itsuki knows that Takumi has an AE86, he asks Takumi to drive them to Mount Akina to watch the race between Speedstars and Redsuns on Saturday. However, Takumi is not interested in the match at all.
Later in the night, Iketani changes all his tyres and brake pads in a bid to reduce his course time.
Mount Akina
Keisuke is racing alone and hoping that he will meet the mysterious AE86 again.
The Next Day - At Petrol Station

Itsuki, Iketani and Takumi are watching a video tape about Tsuchiya Keiichi, the drift king. Again, Takumi is not interested at all and watches his magazine. Itsuki is not impressed with Takumi expression towards the video and asks whether he knows about drifting. Takumi replies swiftly and explain the way to drift a car.
Itsuki and Iketani laugh at Takumi and say that the car will go understeering and that is a poor skill. Their boss is at the back listening to their conversation. He believes that Takumi has mastered the four-wheel drift and that Itsuki and Iketani are the ones who do not know how to drift.
Keisuke arrives at petrol station. As he is served by them, he realizes that he met Iketani at Mount Akina the other day. When Takumi sees the spoiler of the RX-7, he thought that it is for flying or something. Before Keisuke leaves, he asks Iketani about AE86 and says that he will not lose to a racer twice.

Part 2
At Tofu Shop
Takumi wakes up at 0345 and prepares himself to deliver tofu. Bunta prepares a cup of water to be put in the cup holder. The reason is to prevent Takumi from driving recklessly and damage the tofu before it reaches the hotel. If Takumi spills the water, he will be scolded by Bunta.

At School
As usual, Takumi looks sleepy. He meets Mogi who later tells him that she has bought a new super cute bathing suit and cannot wait to wear it when they go to the beach. She then fixes the time to go to the beach on the coming Sunday.
At Mount Akina
Iketani is practising and trying to improve his course time. No matter how hard he pushes, he still fails to get a better course time. He is at his wit\’s end.
The Next Day - At Tofu Shop

Iketani visits Bunta and requests him to train him to tackle Mount Akina and to shorten his course time. However, Bunta rejects and claims that driving technique cannot be learned in just a few days. He has to think over and over again how he can make the car run as he like and keep on driving. When he was still actively driving, he drove in Mount Akina even in his dreams.
Iketani leaves the shop, disappointed. He proceeds to Mount Akina and pushes himself harder. Unfortunately, at one corner, he almost crashes into an oncoming car. Even though he manages to avoid the car, he is unable to regain control of his car and crash into the rail guard.

Act 1 - Ultimate Tofu Guy Drift
Part 1
Very Beginning
A series of squeaking sound from the drifting of AE86 is clearly heard on Mount Akina. A driver in another car flashes but gets no response from AE86.
At the School
Itsuki and Takumi are talking about buying used cars but are interrupted by Mogi, who is known to Takumi through a club they joined a year ago. It is known that high school students normally earn around 120,000 yen ($1,200) for working full-time during summer. Itsuki is thinking of getting an AE86 which will cost around 300,000 yen but he has saved only 50,000 yen at the moment.

He suggests to Takumi about getting an AE86 together but Takumi is not interested at all. When Itsuki talks about the fun of tackling corners on the mountain passes, Takumi claims that he is tired of doing that.
At the Gas Station
Itsuki and Takumi work part-time at a gas station after school. While getting prepared to work, Itsuki is still pestering Takumi on getting a car together. Iketani, a full-time worker at the gas station, comes into pictures saying that AE86 is a good car. However, Takumi is full of queries and does not even know what an AE86 is.

Seeing that Itsuki is so keen of getting a car while Takumi is so innocent, Iketani offers to give them a ride to Mount Akina in his S13 that night. Iketani is the pioneer of Akina Speedstars road racers group, who claims to be the fastest on Mount Akina.

Finishing work at the Gas Station
The gas station owner, Yuchi, tells Iketani about a legend who claims to be the fastest on Mount Akina. Yuchi is the driver who flashes at AE86 earlier. He continues saying that the legend is still driving actively on Mount Akina to deliver tofu to a hotel near Akina Lake. Iketani is confused because he never knows anyone that old who drives on Mount Akina. Yuchi explains that the legend normally drives at 4am while they are still sleeping.
At the Tofu Shop
Takumi is the tofu shop owner’s son. The owner name is Bunta Fujiwara, the legend claimed by Yuchi.
At Mount Akina

Takumi screams as he sits at the back of S13 while Iketani tackles the corners on Mount Akina. When they reach the top of the mountain, Takumi sits at the side of the road while catching his breath. He complains that the way of drifting is wrong only to be scolded by Itsuki for being uncool.
Soon, a group of road racers namely Redsuns, comes face to face with Iketani and groups.

Part 2
Redsuns consists of the fastest road racers on Mount Akagi. They have come to challenge the fastest on Mount Akina and Iketani, representing Akina Speedstars, accepts the challenge which is fixed on the coming Saturday at 10pm. They will have to pick two racers for uphill and downhill races. Soon after, Redsuns starts their training by racing downhill.
Feeling the needs to observe Redsuns driving skills, Iketani and groups follow by racing downhill and thus, leaving Takumi and Itsuki behind.
Yuchi at a 24-hour Kiosk
He makes a call to Bunta to question him about the other night where he saw him during his delivery. However, Bunta denies about it and says that it was his son, Takumi, who is doing the delivery for the past 5 years.
Back at Mount Akina
Akina Speedstars is no match to Redsuns. They are not able to keep up with Redsuns racers on the mountain pass. Akina Speedstars racers then drive back to the top of the mountain to pick Takumi and Itsuki while discussing what they need to do because they will definitely loose the challenge.
Takahashi Brothers

Both of them are the pioneer of Redsuns and they aim to rewrite the course records to become the legendary Road Racers. Ryosuke is the older brother driving a RX-6 and Keisuke is driving a RX-7.
Tofu Delivery
It is almost dawn and some of the Redsuns road racers are still at the top of Mount Akina. One of them is Keisuke. On the way home, Keisuke is pursued by a car which he thinks is MR2 or 180. The car seems to be left behind on straight road but is able to catch up on corners. Keisuke soon realizes that the car is an AE86 and finds that impossible for a car that old to keep up with his RX-7.
He is overtaken by AE86 in the end and in a state of shock.
