One of the gym’s swimming pools has closed for about a month now. The pool is where most of the swim classes take place. Mee usually goes to a swim class called AquaFit on Tuesday but it was cancelled two weeks in a row now. I wonder if anyone actually complain to them or asking for refund since some of them only have a swimming membership. The management doesn’t explain a lot about the type of maintenance that they are doing. All we see is a message put up on their website’s front page. The other day, I saw a raypak pool heater just outside the swimming pool area and I wonder if that’s the cause of the problem or that’s the new one they were using to replace the old one.

At this moment, this is my 1,089 posts since I started blogging a few year ago. I started out using Flatpress and if I still use it now, I wouldn’t be able to know how many posts I had made, unless I count them manually. I used to dislike popular stuffs like WordPress and Apple. However, they grow on me eventually. Flatpress and non-Apple stuffs are good too. Flatpress was where I polished my HTML, CSS, Javascript and other web skills. When using non-Apple stuffs, I learnt to install all sorts of operating systems from scratch; DOS, any Windows versions, Linux and I even installed MacOSX on my netbook. I also have a great deal of knowledge on hardware too.

Using WordPress and Apple products are like edging towards retirement though it’s not entirely true. It just gives me more time to focus on other stuffs. They are easy to use and I don’t have to worry too much. When I first bought my MacBook Air, Mee used it a few times for only a short few minutes and she didn’t like it. She only likes the appearance and couldn’t adjust herself to the operating system. However, when we were at my sister’s place last Christmas, my MacBook Air was the main computer for Mee. She told me that she loves it a lot especially the speed.

With WordPress, I just let it does the thing. All I need to concentrate is just blog. That’s easy!

The prospect of moving out of our current rented place is all but almost vanished. It’s the middle of January 2012 and Mee and I see no point in moving out until my work permit ends in October 2012. We could talk about my work permit all day long but in the end, it still depends on the rules and regulations when it comes to extend or reapply my work permit. Anyway, Mee and I still looking at newly advertised places for rent but so far, they are either expensive or not in a good shape. When looking for a place to rent, we don’t really mind whether it’s fully furnished, part furnished or unfurnished. We consider the amount of space available as well as the state of the bathroom and kitchen. Some landlords offer cheaper rents but it puts us off when the bathroom vanity look weary even if the kitchen looks good. Some apartments look immaculate but it comes with a price. Ultimately, we are still looking forward to buying a house instead of renting.

Always, it’s something that happens in our current rented place that prompted us the urge to move out. The latest one being a rise in rent by £15 a week. I said our landlord he is actually like a middle man who takes care of the house for the real landlord. We discussed with him a week ago and he said that he will try to negotiate with the landlord and give me a reply in a day or two. We waited a week and I finally texted him on the past Monday. A few minutes later, he replied and said that the landlord doesn’t want to lower the rent. We are unsure whether or not he actually discussed with the landlord. If he had already known beforehand, he should have texted us long time ago; since he likes to text so much. The fact that we texted him and got a reply just a few minutes later, makes us in doubt. It’s pointless talking about it though since we can’t change anything by complaining. We either stay or move. Still, it’s not the right time to move yet.

Hopefully, I won’t be talking about the same thing one year later!

Just today, I bought another jacket. I told myself that this is going to be the last jacket I am going to buy, maybe for this year. At £11.99, it’s hard to resist. I had to choose between BoxFresh and Northface fleece. I already have a fleece jacket, hence I chose BoxFresh instead. And I bought it from TheHut.com. The problem is, Mee bought a pair of pants from the website before but a week after that, it said that it didn’t have the stock available due to popular demand. A lot of people have posted similar things regarding the website. Therefore, the chance of getting an email saying that my BoxFresh jacket is out of stock is very likely. If that’s really the case, I might not buy from TheHut.com anymore in the future no matter how good the deal is.

I have been feeling feverish since Monday. I was not quite sure what happen but I just felt my body’s temperature rising by the minute while at work. I had two panadols on that day but it still didn’t help. I was feeling weak at night and my temperature was about 37.5 degrees Celsius. Mee and I are all too wary about what happened a year ago. Mee was sick a couple of weeks before last year’s Christmas and it took her a week to recover. I must had picked up some of her viruses and I became ill after her. Well, it took me two weeks to recover. Yeah, my last Christmas and New Year was plagued with an illness. This year, we are better prepared. As soon as we felt something is wrong, we will start taking panadols and lemsip. Personally, we feel that lemsip is more effective compared to paracetamol tablet. Anyway, when I am ill, I normally feel better at night. I feel a lot worse when I wake up in the morning and I would wish that I could stay in bed the whole day and not worry about work. I thought I got enough of rest during the Christmas period but clearly, I hadn’t.

Mee and I are still waiting for our online ordered items to arrive. They were dispatched a couple of days ago and I just hope that we will receive them by the end of the week. I am the kind of person where I want things to be completely done before I can take it off my mind; even the smallest thing. Mee was actually looking at some funny t shirts on sale but ended up purchasing a funny Animal hat for herself and a jacket for me. I must say if you look on the web, there are just so many things on sale and you need to know the way of finding the good ones. Even buying from the same company but different methods makes a difference. By different methods I meant online and high street. Most deals available on the internet are not available in the high street shops. However, what I don’t fancy about shopping clothes online is that I couldn’t try on them. Sometimes, things look good but may not be as good as when we try them on.
