Old Spice, many of you may have heard of it but not me. However, I have been quite fortunate to be given the chance to review it. So far, I have been showing the products to my friends and colleagues. I also gave away some vouchers for those who are interested. There are two flavours of it; Hawkridge and Wolfthorn. So far, I have been using just Wolfthorn. I personally don’t really like Hawkridge.
To many, Old Spice is like a brand that has been around forever. I guess with the introduction of new packaging and nicer look, it’s trying to gain it’s market share. I have a sensitive nose and I always been very careful trying new deodorant products. I tend to stick to just one or two types. Old Spice Wolfthorn has kind of won me over. I didn’t spray it on my body on the first try. I would normally spray it in the air and have a smell of it. Hawkridge is a no-no for me as it’s too strong. To me, it’s just like most sports deodorants and I don’t like it.
Old Spice Wolfthorn on the other hand, it’s much more feminine. Mee likes it as it’s gentle to the nose. Two sprays and it lasts the whole day. It advertises as one spray lasts all day. However, it’s difficult to define the one spray. It could be a five seconds spray or a ten seconds spray. However, I am only doing a second each spray and it already lasts the whole day.
Another slogan of the Old Spice is “Smell like a man”. Well, as I have already said, Wolfthorn has a feminine smell while Hawkridge is more of a smell like what guys would normally use. So, I would say it’s half and half as far as the slogan goes.
