I finally moved all my apps to my portable hard drive and freeing up about 25GB of spaces. My MacBook Air now feels like it breathes easier and responds a tad quicker. But that could be my own imagination. The main issue was that it was quite slow when trying to update the apps between my devices and the apps stored in my portable drive. Hence, what I tend to do now is to update the apps through iTunes as well as on my devices. This way, only new apps will be copied. Better yet, I should download any new apps in iTunes as well as on my devices. If only iTunes has the options of synchronising the apps or just saving the apps’ titles. By the way, I have managed to update my Paradise Island HD too. I have now started playing it again and on to my next quest.
Well, if you have the same issue with your Paradise Island HD not being able to update directly from our device, just update it using your iTunes and synchronise the update.
By the way, I went to Apple Store today to look at the Mac Mini and Apple TV. There are about £400 difference between them yet I can’t work out which one I should get in the future. Apple TV is nice and simple as I only want transfer whatever I am playing to the big screen TV. Mac Mini is the Apple version of desktop PC and it can do so much more than a Apple TV but do I really want a computer attached to my TV? Chances are that I will be getting a Smart TV which will have its own internet connection anyway. There are already so many choices now and I can’t imagine what more choices we will have in a few years time.
Paradise Island HD on my iPad2 had been stuck during installation for a couple of weeks now. There was a solution published on the developer website but I just can’t be bothered to follow the instructions. I couldn’t play the game or delete it. Every time I pressed it, it just restarted the installation and then it would tell me that it couldn’t install or download it. Today, I pressed the Paradise Island HD icon again and immediately it said that the game cannot be downloaded or installed. Once I pressed ok, the icon is available again and I can play the game now. It’s just weird. I haven’t gone to see the description of the game and maybe the developer has come out with another solution. I shall see.
I have been playing Paradise Island HD on my iPad for quite sometime now. I actually first started playing the Android version of Paradise Island on my HTC Desire and I just found it sluggish and difficult to control. Eventually, I uninstalled it but I never really knew why I went on and downloaded it on my iPad. I guess I just want to finish the game. Well, it improves over time and it’s not quite possible to complete the game now that it has expanded to two islands and the quests are getting tougher and tougher to complete.
Worst still, the latest update doesn’t work at all. It hung while trying to install and a message asking whether it’s done or to retry prompts. Retry while just keeps failing. There’s a workaround which I haven’t tried yet. I will just leave it alone for the time being. I can’t be bothered really. I am not even sure if it can be fixed at all without the workaround.
Well, what else, it’s Paradise Island again. I am still playing it and now on both devices; HTC Desire and iPad. I know I have said that I won’t be playing it on my iPad in my previous post but now that I have learned a lot from playing Paradise Island on my HTC Desire, I have decided to start fresh on my iPad. It is so much faster running on iPad and there are more features available on the iPad version. For example, I can give presents to other online friends whereas the Android version has no such feature. With the speed and the screen size, I am able to gain points quicker, therefore, up my level faster. However, I have experienced some buildings disappear but I am thinking that I might have accidentally demolished the building instead.
